Probably the most popular and memorable ad of 2010. It spawned a series of follow-ups. Plus they made YouTube video replies to comments and questions submitted by celebrities and the public in the same vein. It's funny stuff. Great writing and great acting. Cheers to both.

Crazy Taxi - China Edition featuring Kelly Hu

You know how in some countries people play fast and loose with the traffic laws? Well, actress Kelly Hu found out China is one of those countries in a recent trip. I've heard that driving the wrong way on the freeway isn't completely unusual there apparently.

I guess I shouldn't be that surprised, when I traveled to Taiwan, did more than a little bobbing, weaving, and speeding in and out of freeway on-ramps (i.e. cutting off cars as they were trying to get onto the freeway) in getting us to our destination.

To be fair, it was an isolated incident and the other taxi drivers were much, much more tame.

Free Throw Shot Falls Perfectly on the Rim

Logically, this is possible with the right conditions though the chances are very very slim to none but my eyes don't want to believe it. This happened recently during a college basketball game. The person taking the shot is Kamil Gawrzydek of Idaho State at the 2010 Gossner's Invitational versus Utah State University.

Thor - First Trailer

The new Thor movie lookes pretty good as far as the trailer goes. It's directed by Kenneth Branagh so I'm expecting good things. I like the Marvel one universe continuity. I really don't get the push for everything in 3-D; I'd rather not have to wear two sets of glasses to see a movie.

I remember "Lazy Sunday" as being SNL's first entry (it's actually the second) into viral videos which they've continued with Digital Shorts. It came out in 2005 which makes it ancient in digital years and even has it's own Wikipedia entry!

Kung Fu Movie Kick in an Actual MMA Fight!

Self-dubbed the "Showtime Kick" (because the dude's nick is "Showtime"), it's something you expect to see Jet Li or Donnie Yen perform in a Hong Kong martial arts movie than in an actual MMA match. Craziness!

Guinness Record: 19 Girls, 1 Smart Car

Apparently the Smart ForTwo car is the new telephone booth. Nineteen teenage girls in Pakistan packed themselves in the urban two-door people mover to set a new Guinness World Record. The record was previously held by a 18 girls in Australia.

Julianne Hough's Latest - Too Hot for CMT?

That's the word. Apparently, the former Dancing with the Star's dancer-turned-country-music-artist's video for "Is That So Wrong?", which features Julianne sexily dancing around her apartment in PG-13 clothing is too hot to play on Country Music Television. The video is also nary to be found on YouTube or VEVO.

Yao Ming Likely Done

Looks like Yao Ming's career is done. He's been out for a while and the latest is an MRI result showing a stress fracture in his left ankle. (via NBA.com)

I guess there's always hope he'll pull a Grant Hill, but Grant Hill isn't 7'6" with 300 pounds on his frame to pound on those ankles.
