Marvel Snap Patch Notes - January 31, 2023

The January 31, 2023 Patch is up from Marvel Snap and you can update your game in the app store if you haven't already. Most notable is a rework of Leader, the Series drop for select cards, and the addition of Friendly Battles.

Marvel Snap 2023 Lunar New Year Login Event

Marvel Snap celebrates the 2023 Lunar New Year with a limited-time login event where you can get some freebies in your inbox for logging in each day through January 28, 2023.

The event kicks off today and this is what the prize schedule looks like:

Marvel Snap 2023 Lunar New Year Nian Challenge Event

Marvel Snap welcomes the upcoming 2023 Lunar New Year with the Nian Challenge Event, where players join together to help defeat the Nian Beast.

Here's the flavor text:

"A fierce beast has descended upon the village, devouring anything in its path...

It is said that this is the Ancient Legend known as "Nian Beast," a ferocious creature which is afraid of loud noises and the color red.

In order to protect the village, Shang-Chi and his partners will fight against Nian Beast together..."

Marvel Snap Announces Which Series 4 & 5 Cards are Dropping Down a Tier

It was late November of last year that Marvel Snap first introduced Series 4 & 5 cards as higher rarity cards and they plan to drop some of them one tier lower on January 31, 2023 (unless any issues come up).

The Series 5 cards that will move to Series 4 (which means you'll have a 10 percent chance of getting one instead of a Series 3 card when opening a Collector's Reserve as opposed to 1 percent for a Series 5 card) include:

Marvel Snap Patch Notes - January 10, 2023

The January 10, 2023 patch for Marvel Snap sees a few buffs and nerfs to a few cards. The nerfs in particular don't look to make all that much impact. Particularly, the nerfs to Galactus and Leader could see them used more with Mr. Negative.
