New Marvel Snap Cards and Features in January 2023

January 2023 sees the arrival of the Savage Land season pass in Marvel Snap as well as the reveal of several new Series 5 cards, five new locations, and the upcoming arrival of Battle Mode where you can play with friends.

Here's what you can expect:

Savage Land season pass

• New card - Zabu [3/2] Ongoing: Your 4-cost cards cost 2 less (minimum 1)
• Three Savage Land variants by Alex Horley for Zabu, Kazar, and Storm and three new Avatars for the same.
• Two new Savage Land-themed card backs.

Five New Savage Land-themed Locations:

• Altar of Death - When you play a card here, destroy it to get +2 Energy next turn.
• Collapsed Mine - Fill this location with Rocks. Skip a turn to destroy your Rocks.
• Eternity Range - After turn 3, add a Rock to the losing player's side.
• Plunder Castle - Only cards that cost 6 can be played here.
• Rickety Bridge - After each turn, if there is more than one card here, destroy them.

New Series 5 Cards (Coming soon)

• Dazzler [4/4] Ongoing: If you have 4 cards at each location, +6 Power. Available starting January 24, 2023.
• Sauron [3/3] On Reveal: Remove the abilities of all Ongoing cards from your hand and deck. Available starting January 10, 2023.
• Shadow King [4/3] On Reveal: Set all cards here to their original base Power. Available starting January 31, 2023.
• Shanna: The She-Devil [4/2] On Reveal: Add a random 1-cost card to each location. Available starting January 17, 2023.
• The Silver Surfer also can be collected as a Series 5 card starting January 4, 2023.

Battle Mode (Coming soon)

• Casual versus mode to play with friends and to hold tournaments.
• Matching is by sharing a code between players.
• Each player uses one deck of their choice throughout multiple matches in a Battle Mode game.
• Each player starts with 10 health and health is lost corresponding to the number of Cubes wagered in each match lost. The first player to lose all their health loses.
