Pokémon Go Small Yet Strong Event.

Here's a quick rundown of the Small Yet Strong event in Pokémon Go:

  • Runs from Wednesday, February 5, at 10:00 a.m. to Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time

Event Bonuses

  • Double XP for catching Pokémon.
  • Increased chance to encounter XXS and XXL Pokémon in the wild.

Wild Encounters (increased chance of Shiny Ekans):

  • Flabébé with differently colored flowers will also be appearing in the wild depending on where you are in the world:
    • Red Flower Flabébé* - Europe, the Middle East, and Africa
    • Blue Flower Flabébé* - Asia-Pacific region
    • Yellow Flower Flabébé* - The Americas
    • White Flower Flabébé* and Orange Flower Flabébé* - All regions
  • Paras* (Good to catch if you need Stardust as they give 500 Stardust)
  • Natu*
  • Plant Cloak Burmy*
  • Sandy Cloak Burmy*
  • Trash Cloak Burmy*
  • Joltik*
  • Tynamo*
  • Nymble* (Shiny debut)

*=Shiny possible.

Event Eggs - The following Pokémon will hatch from 2 km Eggs:

  • Togepi*
  • Azurill*
  • Budew*
  • Chingling*
  • Espurr*
  • Dedenne*

Event Field Research Tasks

  • Catch 5 different species of Pokémon for either Plant Cloak Burmy, Sandy Cloak Burmy, or Trash Cloak Burmy.
  • Make 10 Nice Throws for a Nymble.
  • Power up Pokémon 10 times for a Nymble.
  • Hatch an Egg for a Nymble.

Timed Research - Rewards 1000 Stardust and a Nymble for completing all the tasks.

  • Part 1 - Rewards 500 XP x500, 15 Poké Balls, and a Plant Cloak Burmy.
    • Catch 5 Pokémon for a Joltik.
    • Make 10 Nice Throws for a Tadbulb.
    • Complete 3 Field Research Tasks for a Tynamo.
  • Part 2 - Rewards 1000 XP, 15 Poké Balls, and a Sand Cloak Burmy.
    • Catch 5 Pokémon for a Nymble
    • Make 10 Great Throws for a Nymble
    • Complete 5 Field Research Tasks for a Nymble
  • Part 3 - Rewards 1500 XP, Poké Balls, and a Trash Cloak Burmy.
    • Catch 10 Pokémon for a Nymble.
    • Catch 15 Pokémon for a Nymble.
    • Catch 20 Pokémon for a Nymble.
    • Catch 25 Pokémon for a Nymble.
    • Catch 30 Pokémon for a Nymble.

Collection Challenge - Catch the following Pokémon during the event to get 1000 Stardust and a Nymble:

  • Plant Cloak Burmy
  • Sandy Cloak Burmy
  • Trash Cloak Burmy
